I discovered yoga as a young adult. I had always been active and drawn to different forms of movement, but yoga felt different. It wasn’t about pushing harder or going faster. It invited me to move with more awareness, listen to my body, and connect with my breath. That shift in the way I experienced movement is what kept me coming back.

As my curiosity grew, I explored different styles, from Hatha and Ashtanga to Iyengar, and eventually travelled to India to deepen my understanding of yoga and its philosophy. Each approach taught me something different, from breath and presence to alignment and precision.

Over time, I became less interested in finding one “right” style and more interested in how different approaches can serve different people and different needs. With a background in engineering, I’m naturally curious about how the body moves and how we can make movement more functional and accessible. I continue to refine my teaching by bringing together mobility, functional movement, alignment, and breath to create practices that can adapt to the individual.
