Restorative yoga creates space for mindfully unwinding, healing and letting go. Poses are held for long periods of time down on the mat utilizing lots of support for the body to fully relax without any strain. This increases the ability to soothe and balance the nervous system, reducing stress, pain and anxiety. The intention is to improve resiliency and functionality, a sense of grounding in oneself, and to truly rest and restore energy. Positions are easily modified to suit any physical limitations or injuries, and no past experience is needed. A restorative practice is a gentle way to begin or deepen awareness of the body and breath to restore peacefulness and stillness within. You’ll leave relaxed and ready for a restful nights sleep.
